Billing and subscription
ES Food Plan is free to try, then requires a subscription to keep using.
Free trial
Every new group gets a 14-day free trial, starting from when it was created. You can invite others and use the full app during the trial — no card required until it ends.
If you leave a group and return to your own, that personal group also gets a fresh 14-day trial if it’s due one.
Subscribing
Once your trial ends (or if you’d rather subscribe right away), open your profile and tap your subscription status — it’s shown right under your email, and takes you to the Billing page. From there, choose a plan — billed quarterly or yearly. This takes you to a secure checkout page handled by Stripe; ES Food Plan never sees or stores your card details directly.
Pricing and the checkout page are shown in your account’s language, and charged in the currency for your region.
Managing or cancelling
On the Billing page, choose Manage subscription to open Stripe’s customer portal. From there you can update your payment method, switch plans, or cancel outright. Changes made in the portal are reflected back in ES Food Plan automatically — there’s nothing further to do in the app itself.
If your group’s subscription lapses (trial expired, or a cancelled/failed subscription), the app locks down to just the Billing and Profile pages until it’s resolved — your data isn’t deleted, just inaccessible until you resubscribe.
